Wow.. Imagine that.. I am just about to embark on photographing people....and am totally confused on what I "need" to setup a small studio at home, or what to take on the road. I was just about to turn in for the night, spending my last few minutes of the day browsing through the pages of BetterPhoto.com when I thought to myself - "hey - that Josh guy --- he takes awesome shots --- what the hell is his last name." -then it came to me, I searched for your Gallery and low and behold, the first shot I see is a training picture for me.. Thanks Josh... any other pointers? Good articles or books you recommend? #243650

If you are looking for strobes, and you have very little experience, I would recommend buying a 600w/s photogenic with a 4"x6" larson softbox and some reflectors.

It gives you some time to grow into the system and master one light. Then you can move into multiple lighting.

Oh...and the secret to any studio photgraphy...get a light meter.

I like the shoe, but do I really need one? Love the sense of humour, Josh and as for your gallery, you know it's good! You've got some darn sexy photo's going. #2742510
