Next years Christmas card!
Uploaded: January 02, 2009
f22, various shutter speeds to recreate the image. A composite of 6 shots and a little Photoshop. This is an old holiday wreath (I think originally from the 1940's), that was restored and rebuilt about 10 years ago. Each point of light is a 40-60 watt lightbulb. I estimate the wreath is 50 to 75 feet tall. It has been part of a local yearly traditon to light it, and several other Fort Wayne holiday "icons".

cool find to photograph, Jim! #1060770Jim Macino January 03, 2009
Thanks Kim,This is one of 2 huge "Christmas signs" that were part of Fort Wayne past. There is also a Santa Claus and 8 reindeer (no Rudolph at that point) that was part of a competing stores display. That also has been refurbished at least twice. I'm working on putting together the composite of the maybe 200-250 foot long "Santa" display. The lights on that one are sequential and it is an exposure nightmare....
