A clump of grass I found growing by the shoreline at the Lake Tillery Dam. It was on the exiting side of the dam in the PeeDee River. 1/30s @ f/5.6, 200mm, ISO200, On Tripod with Remote.

Well I guess it's true...sticks and browns can make for good photos! I am incessantly complaing about Winter colors on my property (all brown and beige w/ sticks) and a friend keeps telling me to look again...so now I will do so!! Congratulations again on you POTD...and I'm glad your pipes got an EP...I love the character of that photo!

Thanks Patricia. Yes, Dave is my brother. We are seperated by 3000 miles but still manage to see each other a couple times a year. He inspired to take up photography. #6953208
