Oh, my, this is pretty, Conrad! I love the composition, soft lighting, colors and how you captured it fully relaxed, showing its entire wingspan!

Thanks, Cathy. Really wanted to take it in the sunlight, but without a zoom lens I had to be opportunistic since it wasn't cooperating. :) The positive is that the resulting soft lighting minimized contrast.

And the softer lighting brings out the detail and colors more, too! I like it just the way it is, Conrad! I had the misfortune once, of waiting for the sun to come out before taking a photo of a Tiger Swallowtail, and there was so much shadow, that you could only make out one wing edge of the butterfly.
