Beautiful male House Finch photo!
Of course he is a handsome subject... all that bright color, but the light is lovely on the bird and the focus is sharp. I also like the branches in this image since they are ice covered and add a dimension of telling season and place.
Have you considered a slightly tighter crop to eliminate some of the space on the right side of the image?
This would place the bird a little more off center... more to the right and make him more prominent in the image.
I would be proud to have taken this photo. I really like it!

Love the image. You have captured the color of the finch to the tee. He is focused excellently and the little white dot in his eye really sets him off.

I don't know if I would crop right as the finch's head is turned in that direction. Even though he appears to be looking right at you, the beak leads right. If you would crop closer right, I think it would lead the eye off of the image.

There is a rather bright blue reflection midway down on the left that might be thought of as distracting. #7132651

thank you Sonya, iam glad you enjoy the photo.iam new to bird photography,so its kind a hit and miss with me.i love trying to catch them at the right movement, not always easy. those round highlights, happen once in while when I get bright sun on things like ice in background.cropping. I throught about doing that, but I hate crop.i guess its taste.so I chose to leave as is.
