Beautiful male House Finch photo!Sonya L. Hatfield-Hall February 06, 2009
Love the image. You have captured the color of the finch to the tee. He is focused excellently and the little white dot in his eye really sets him off.I don't know if I would crop right as the finch's head is turned in that direction. Even though he appears to be looking right at you, the beak leads right. If you would crop closer right, I think it would lead the eye off of the image.
There is a rather bright blue reflection midway down on the left that might be thought of as distracting. #7132651

thank you Sonya, iam glad you enjoy the photo.iam new to bird photography,so its kind a hit and miss with me.i love trying to catch them at the right movement, not always easy. those round highlights, happen once in while when I get bright sun on things like ice in background.cropping. I throught about doing that, but I hate crop.i guess its taste.so I chose to leave as is.Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
