Beside the lamb being a comfort and protector, the pumpkin seems to be acting as a headstone itself.
I particularly like the stones cradling the pumpkin. The sharp burst of orange pops and is a beautiful contrast throughout the arid sadness.

Thanks so much Sandee. This was taken in Fort Sumner, New Mexico a few days after Dia De Los Muertos so there were a lot of little things left at the graves but this was only pumpkin that I saw. #6846242
