Image was taken in the Four Peaks foothills - Superstition mountains located in the Tonto Nat. Forest. The promanant formation is Weaver's Needle, and is the skeletal remains of an exstinct volcano, and by legend the home of the Lost Duchman's Gold mine in Arizona. aperture = f/16, shutter = 1/6 sec., lens = EF 70-200f/2.8L IS USM +1.4x. with Hoya haze filter and Lee .6 GND. Minor adj. in CS 3.

The haze filter is there for protection mostly. The GND filter on the other hand nocks down the light in the upper half of the sceene alowing the sensor to capture more detail in the bottom half of the image. #7213532
