A Seat by the Fire

Uploaded: November 26, 2008

Description

No flash, ambient light. The original (color) is a 3-exposure HDR as it was pretty dark in this room and the tonal range from the fire/lights to the dark paneling was about 15 stops - HDR to the rescue. I used Essential HDR for the HDR and Nik's Silver Efex Pro for the B&W conversion (used the "Brush" option to erase the B&W over the fire). The 3 HDR exposures were made at -2, 0, & +2 EV, 20mm, f/16,& shutter speeds from 1/8 to 2.5. Oh yeah - tripod.
