Antique Fabric
Uploaded: November 16, 2008
Stack of antique indigo fabric, taken in a store in the old section of Kyoto, Japan. The fabric was incredibly expensive. The least expensive small square cost a minimum of $40 or so – and the prices went up into the hundreds. I could never determine what criteria were used to decide on the price. Some of the less expensive fabric looked just as lovely as the more expensive pieces. Maybe it was the age of the piece?

Beautiful color and comp. Looks like some of the hand made woven and dyed material found in Okinawa, and , yes, expensive! #6765853Jean B. Hall November 17, 2008
