Description

Nature designed these perfect rows of needles and groves. The needles serve to both protect the cacti from predators and as a cooling surface in extreme heat. The Saguaro cactus can take 100 years to grow one arm and can go years without rain. Taken in the 4 Peaks Recreational area East of Phoenix. aperture F/4, shutter = 1/80, lens = EF 70-200L f/2.8 IS USM @ 90mm with IS on. Minor ajd. in PS CS3.
