I am kind of fascinated with this image Protacio. Can you tell us how you did it? Is it really three different shots on real film as taken, or did you insert three photos into a frame template? I've thought of using a frame template to put things together before, but I haven't been satisfied with my results. #1067921

Hi Dorothy:

Thanks for your message.

These three frames are part of a 12-frames image that I took using Tmax 100. The whole image is made by three rows of four negs each.

I only scanned this strip since this is the only part of the image where I was panning from left to right. Upper and lower row run from right to left so they don’t match as this frames do.

This is an unfinished project, but I haven’t got the chance to get into the darkroom lately.

If you want a hi res layered copy of a neg strip let me know. There you can practice. The thing is that I only got BW film so your inserts must be BW.

Beautiful work, Protacio!
Each frame is also a piece of art!

Incredibly interesting. I read what you wrote to Dorothy, but I didn't understand it. Would you mind explaining it in laymans terms. I'm sorry, I'm just learning. #1181685

Hi Lori.

Thanks for your comment.

My intention with this negatives is to print each neg full frame (including the dark areas of the negs) on a single sheath of photographic paper (11 x 14 in). Since 11 x 14 is not proportional to 35 mm format then each print should be around 9x14 inches.

After every neg has been printed I will end up with twelve prints that will be assembled to create a composite of 56 inches by somewhere around 28 inches.

I haven't figure it out how to assemble but I have considered mounting each print on an non traditional surface, like metal perhaps, or wood. Once I decide where to mount the prints the assembly method will be stablished.

First things first...I need to get into the dark room and make those prints.
