Spike Dreams

Uploaded: January 24, 2005

Triple exposure shot of a backlit sotol cactus. I particularly like the out of focus backlit spikes and how they appear as little jewels along the sides of the leaf.

3 shots, all under exposed by around a stop, registered/ layered in photoshop.

Played with the blend modes to get the final result (mix of 'screen' mode and 'soft light' modes and some opacity tweaks)

Burned in the corners slightly in this version.
