I wonder if you saw the big sign at the entrance to Hakone Gardens that said no photography is allowed for outside publication.

I just checked with the Hakone Garden staff about publication policies, and as
I understand, they are OK with my posting on betterphoto.com and entering it into the contest if the photo has been properly identified as having been shot there.
