The Colorful Algae Of Bayou Desiard This Year

Uploaded: September 02, 2008

Description

Was not going to post today, but thought this was the best way to let everyone know we made it through the Hurricane with only minor tree damage. All night without lights or water until 8:30 AM today. The Worst thing was hearing the sounds of a bad storm in the darkness. I would look out and hear so much noise, but could only see those little lights blinking on my car and truck dash. This Is a very long lasting hurricane. We are still getting a blast of wind and rain from time to time. Thank all of you for your concern and your prayers. We thought of your prayers all night long. Your Friend Always, Bill

We are all so happy that you did not have severe damages. I was praying for everyone all day yesterday!
Now about your post for the day...if you take away the tree stumps and move back from the monitor it reminds me of a atellite shot of the earth's surface.
Can you tell that I have been on Google Earth lately...LOL
Wonderful shot.

Algae does this some years. I was trying to study it, but the Hurricane we had washed it away because of all the wind and rain. Don't think we have it every year. I don't remember it last year, but I do the year before. Don't know how many years it will take it to regrow now. Bill #6767996
