Sparrowhawk with prey

Uploaded: August 28, 2008

I was lucky enough to capture this bird in my own garden. Maybe not for the fainthearted but it is nature at its best!

The light was not too great and I was happy with the light in his eyes. The white dots in the background are feathers from the bird!

Shot with D300 and 200-400/4 VR lens attached. ISO400

Exif: F Number: 4, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 10/500 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 200.00 mm, Model: NIKON D300
