.3 second exposure at f/11, ISO 200, EFS 18-55mm at 18mm
HDR from three images (-2,0,+2) Taken right after the rain stopped. I purposely rotated the polarizer to get the reflection of the sky off of the water and rocks. Lowered saturation in CS3 after the HDR conversion (it looked way too fake).

Great shot Matthew! I've been experimenting with HDR with my XTi and CS3, and haven't gotten consistently good results. Many of my pictures become undersaturated after converting to HDR. #973749Matthew M. Sciortino August 05, 2008
Thanks Kennen. I use Photomatix for HDR. I've tried doing them in CS3 but the results aren't as good, I dont know why. I've also found that if I try to do an HDR with raw that there is a lot of noise, so i've been converting them to jpg first and then doing the HDR. As far as saturation, I feel that the HDR images are too saturated so I unsaturate them a bit too to make them look more realistic and closer to what my eyes actually saw. #6273624Kennen White August 05, 2008
Thanks for the advice. It is too bad the feature doesn't work well in CS3! After shelling out the money for that and a new computer to run it, I thought I was set.
