Madison River Morning YNP

Uploaded: July 09, 2008

Another "O dark thirty" (up and at’em way before dawn) adventure. This time in Yellowstone National Park (YNP). The Madison River parallels the west entrance road of YNP and is fed by countless hot springs and the Firehole River. Cool summer mornings provide a perfect opportunity to capture the mist rising from the river. Toyo 45c (large format), 180mm, Fuji Velvia 100. Scanned with a Heidelburg Tango drum scanner. Converted to B&W using the channel mixer in Photoshop CS2.
