Abigail At Four Weeks - July 8th

Weighing in at 13 ounces today, I rescued Abigail a week ago so very close to death. She was either abandoned or orphaned, not sure which; she was beyond starving, emaciated and covered from head to toe with several hundred fleas, ears coated with mites, severe intestinal worms and respiratory distress. The changes that have occurred are mind-boggling. I have been fostering her for four days now, exhausting, completely unexpected but so rewarding to see her thriving. This particular shot was taken last evening. She has her eyes on my 11 year old, 67 pound collie, Mollie.
Abby update July 19th: 1 lb 12 oz; fleas all gone, mites (almost) gone; thriving, growing, pampered, spoiled and loved; Mollie the Collie even checks in on her while she is sleeping.
August 21st. My sweet Abigail made finalist. I am so thrilled that this was chosen by the judges! She now weighs 3.5 lbs and has the run of my house. She is loving and loved and is truly a blessing from above!
