Stained Glass Rooster
Uploaded: July 03, 2008
This is my edit of Paola Jofre's crystal rooster. All work was done in Photoshop. Sorry I had to change the legs, the pedestal an the original didn't look right.

This is beautiful, it looks like something I would love to hang up, since I am so new to PS, can you tell me did you select and draw all of your stain glass pieces? It looks so nice. I used a mosaic feature on mine but it is not the same feeling as yours. VERY BEAUTIFUL! #954429Joan E. Hoffman July 04, 2008
This is a stunner Chuck, GREAT WORK. Did you draw in the background... ? Personally I am amazed when I manage to glue a couple of layers together LOL, much less anything this complicated!! #6139958Chuck S. Frizzell July 04, 2008
Thank you Molly, I used the Stained Glass Filter, I looked at yours and it looks like you used the Craciture Filter. I don't really like mine with all the lines , but it kind of looks like chicken wire, so I left it. I selected each part of the crystal rooster, put it on is own layer, and applied the Stained Glass filter. That filter doesn't really do a good job at making it look like stained glass, so I added a stroke around the major areas, and a Bevel and Emboss layer style to give it that leaded look. Thanks again for your comment, if you have any more questions feel free to send me an email. #6140016Dawn M. Schneider July 04, 2008

Very creative, Chuck. Like Joan I'm wondering did you draw the background yourself? #6140913Chuck S. Frizzell July 05, 2008
I've uploaded examples of how I got the background. The first is just the roughed out sections with the stained glass filter applied (i.e. plants, trees, house, roof, doors, windows, clouds, fence, and hills), the second is with an inner glow applied, the third is with a gray stroke applied, and the forth is with a bevel emboss applied. #6143453Chuck S.
