Very nice capture Molly.
This is something that was pricking me when I saw this. Did you intentionaly kept the shooting distance larger than 7 to 8 cm? Now some guess work if I may, I think the aperture was somewhere around 4 to 4.5 as this was under the shade but you kept your shutter speed up to let the background mesh naturally with the subject. ISO may be 400 to avoid the dark patches and get the tones correct. Another question, did you intentionaly shoot this way, so that the different parts of the flower bears different colours, or the flower was itself like that. #6117280

Arijit I have to say that I didn't really do anything that you talked about! lol. I just shot this with a point-and-shoot camera, and so I didn't mess around with aperture or shutter speed. I do have an slr now, so I will be learning very soon how to apply all of the things you were talking about. Thank you for taking time to look at the picture so closely though :) #6843627
