Christmas Clowns

Description

They were hamming it up when I caught them in this candid pose as we were getting ready to shoot a portrait for their mom's Christmas cards using my inexpensive homemade studio lighting setup.

Brian, This is a Great shot. Are these your grandchildren? I hope their mom is using this one on the Christmas cards. I admire your work that I have seen on other contest sites and always enjoy reading your forum comments. BTW, I live in VA. also near Charlottesville.
Again, wonderful capture! :) #14982

Thanks, Helen. No, they are one of my sister's kids - she elected to go with the more formal one, but this was my favorite. This niece of mine is just ten days older than my 12 y/o son. I was still checking my camera settings but when I looked over and saw this I pressed the shutter button right away! I guess you got lots of the snow out there - ours is mostly melted now - will post a view of it here tomorrow. Thanks again.

They look like they're really having fun. This is a terrific shot. I'm from Richmond, and we've got ice! #29018

Inexpensive lighting equipment or not, your image is of very high quality!! I love the candid shots of these three! Nice work as usual Brian!

Keep me posted on little Perry!

For any who believe in the power of prayer...please pray for 2 yr old Perry's recovery? #29045

Yeah, they were really having fun, Susan, which made things easy for me. Thanks, Dolores. Perry is another little neice of mine who is battling some severe side effects of chemotherapy after having recovered from difficult surgeries for a pineal tumor. They switched her to an oscillator to make it easier for her lungs to recover from the pneumonia, but then she'll be back on the ventillator and will have to be weaned off of that too. She is stable now, and her blood cell counts have come back after the stem cell transplant, but it will probably be weeks before she could recover enough to leave the hospital. Thanks for the prayers.
