How can you possibly not stand out when you are named after the goddess Nympha from Greek and Roman mythology? Maybe we can call it "Beauty and the Beach". I like what the locals call it--"Alligator Bonnet".

Thank you for visiting my gallery.

My series on “Flora-Florida” is being done for the pure joy of being out in nature and showing photos of the flora of the state of Florida. The photos in this series are not meant to compete with indoor shots and digitally altered shots, even if I enter them into the contest. Outside, the wind blows. Detail may not be as perfect as a rose petal shot indoors, nor will the lighting. The lens may not even be a macro, if I was out to shoot birds that day with my telephoto and stumbled upon some flora to shoot. If I am able to get some “great shots”, that is a bonus. The real purpose is to get me into the wild, where I enjoy shooting both flora and fauna, and showing others some flora from the state of Florida. I find that the simple natural beauty in the real natural world personally rewards me.

I LOVE waterlilies and have some in my little ol' pond but I enjoyed your POV in this and the crispness of the flower itself....as always Robert....lovely! #6076266
