The colors are very nice. The sky is so blue!

In my opinion, an improvement could be made if the nearest flowers were sharply focused (such as on a tripod and manually focused) and a wide aperture was used, such as f5.6 if you are using 135mm or wider, to allow everything other than the sharpest flower(s) to go out of focus, thus isolating just the flowers closest to the lens.

This is the reason I chose to purchase a faster lens (with a wider aperture that did not revolve between 3.5 and 5.6 depending upon where I was on the zoom. When I wanted the background to go out of focus, I wanted the widest aperture I could achieve to throw out the background, so that one simple subject could be viewed by the eye. At least with a f4 aperture being the widest, you know what you have every time you get into this .

Here is another site, with more images to try to explain what I'm trying to say about a shallow depth of field effect to eliminate the distracting background by throwing it out of focus to draw the viewer's attention to the main subject: http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/fototech/htmls/depth.html

The colors would still remain in the background, but their shapes would be gone.

Still, the colors --the shades of green, blue and yellow are very nice.

Hope what I said makes sense to you.
