Fall Fabric

Uploaded: December 01, 2002

Description

The leaves are real. The plant is a sort of ground cover that I don't know the name of. The fabric effect comes from a texturizing filter. Taken with my Nikon CP 4500.

I believe this is pachysandra, Gerda. Though I've not seen it in these colors....the shape of the leaves are the same and perhaps the frost made them turn.

Thank you, Dolores. Wow, that really is a long URL. It worked, though! Yes, the pachysandra does resemble the plant in my picture, I think. I'm not quite sure it is the same plant, though. The leaves of mine seem somewhat bigger and more lobed to my eye, but that could just be that I took my picture from really up close (I bent way down + used the zoom) and they took theirs from more of a distance. I really appreciate your taking the time and trouble to look up the name of the plant for me. I've never used Ask Jeeves before. I usually use Google. Ask Jeeves looks really good, though. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. #27214

I don't know why I hadn't noticed this one. I guess we get so many contributions and have so little time to peruse them all, that we miss some now and again. Gerda, this one is simply magnificent. You have so many that are, but this one is a real catcher for me. I wish I had it to place on my wall. #41029
