Description

B.I.F. normally means bird-in-flight, but in this case, more like a "behemoth-in-flight", with its 79 inch wingspan and bulky body. I was fortunate to have a low angled sun with difused sidelight that showcases the color of the brown pelican's face.

f/8, 1/1600, ISO 640, cloudy, center-weighted average, lens Canon EF 400mm L, handheld, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, FL, 3/28/08.
