Red, White and Blue ...(and green)

Uploaded: March 27, 2008

Description

Not quite the "All American" as the White Ibis in the USA is mainly a Florida and SE/Gulf coastal resident, not widespread nationwide, but the blue eyes, along with the red bill and legs and white body, does make me start whistling the "Stars and Stripes Forever". The red face and legs change from pink during breeding season. I liked the contrast of the four colors for this portrait as it made the white ibis really stand out.
