Birdwatching Bull

Uploaded: March 12, 2008

Description

I have seen everything come out of the woods and swamps, from snakes, birds, alligators, bear, fox, people, etc., but I must say, this was the first time I ever saw a bull stick his head out from deep within the swamp. It startled me and I didn't know what I was really seeing for a brief moment. I cropped off the camera and binoculars dangling from his neck, so I'm sure the bull was just having a day of leisure doing some birdwatching in the woods.

Excellent job of cropping, Robert :))) Are you sure he was birdwatching or was it people watching? Anyway, excellent capture, color and comp!! Very well done!!!

Hi Denny and Melinda! Thanks for visiting. Melinda, I do try to give background to a lot of my photos as I feel it helps members visualize the whole process better. When I saw it, I thought "the world's biggest deer", then heard his voice and was really startled! This was the last place one would ever see a bull. #5642481

You know, I'm not exactly sure what it is about this picture but I absolutely love it and the description you gave is perfect. I can almost see the see the binoculars and camera. #5707488

Hi Jennifer. Thanks so much! Maybe it is because we are not used to seeing a bull with that kind of background. No "home on the range" or pasture for this guy. :) #5708534
