Vertical version of the young wild lynx that amazingly walked right up to me last week in the deep woods near my home in Anchorage, Alaska. Canon 300mm, @F7.1, 1/250th, 100ISO, cloudy overcast lighting.

Hey Matt I just have to congratulate you and this magnificent POTD. You really made my day when I saw your description as I am from Anchorage myself, although I live in N.Alabama now, sigh.

I moved up to Alaska when I was 5 in 1958 when my family homesteaded at mile 80 on the Old Glenn Highway. After that we moved to Anchorage where I lived intil 1994 when we moved down to hot country. I'd probably still be there but my husband got tired of AK winters.

Again congrats on a gorgeous shot and POTD. Have a blessed Easter.
