Description

Let me try to explain what happened. I was standing for more the one hour waiting for race to begin (AUDI FIS World Cup men Slalom race in Zagreb, Croatia). It was early in the morning, and sun did not come up behind the hills. Just when skiiers did start to race, sun did come up, directly behind skiers, directly in to our cameras, rising light conditions on snow for 6-7 EV. Snow dust behind skier was completly burned out and skier was completly gray, without any contrast.
Then I tryed to capture siluethes and did underexpose photo for 6-7 EV. I did use:
Canon EOS 1D Mark II
Canon EF 300mm f2.8 L USM IS
1/8000 sec
f5.6
ISO 100 ASA
RAW
This is absolutly Full Frame photo, without any crop.

In RawShooter I did use shadows contrast and brightnes contrast and underexpose just little bit more. In Photoshop I did convert it to black and white, because of some blue cast on snow in shadow.
