Sodom and Gomorrah

Uploaded: February 17, 2008 10:20:07

This is something a little, or should I say VERY different for my usual style :o) I took this photo last year finding the contrasting elements interesting but not knowing how to interpret them digitally. So I played around with the smudge and hue tools and this is the result. I will post the original in the thread for comparison.

Wow - this is totally awesome! What is she standing on? Is that ice? In her ballerina outfit - she must have been freezing! Love the final result! Congrats #5683311

I appreciate your kind words of congrats Amalia, Nikki, Doc, Sylvia, Donna, Philippe, Susan, Lee and Diane!! Thanks :o) Diane, what you see on the ground is ice! Where I live in northern Mexico, the apple farmers leave their sprinkler water systems on overnight when there is danger of frost. The ice that forms as a result, serves as insulation for the trees and protects them from the cold. I am always intrigued by the interesting shapes of the ice formations. On this morning I had just picked my daughters up from their ballet lesson when we drove past the orchard. And this.... is the rest of the story... LOL #5685938
