Lilac-Breasted Roller
Uploaded: February 17, 2008
This most glorious of birds was perched on a bush in the Masai Mara region of Kenya. In October, it was quite hot and I was about to head back to camp. The bird stayed and stayed, allowing me to take approximately 80 frames, my favorite of which is this one.
Taken with the Canon 500mm f/4 lens, with a 1.4X extender, at f/7.1, 1/100th second, ISO 400.
Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/100 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 500.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS-1D Mark II
