Is this the beach just north of Hearst Castle? I found myself there, and surrounded my all these elephant seals but did not have a long enough lens. This makes me want to go back! It's great! #5547165

Thank you for the nice comments. The Piedras Blancas rookery is located just north of Hearst Castle on Highway 1. The image was taken with a Canon EF 300mm w/ 1.4 extender. I was fortunate these two were closer to me than the water's edge where many seem to have their battles. #5550036
