Beach Sweep

Mellon Udrigle is a beautiful beach blessed with a fabulous mountainous backdrop. This New year, near Gruinard Bay, I took an early morning trip to the beach and was confronted by a really moody sky, luminous green water and a row of mountains which were indigo. The light seemed unspectacular but I waited for the draw back of large wave to give me this delightful surreal appearance against the red sand beach. Mellon Udrigle, Laide, Scotland. Pentax 67ll, 55-100 zoom, polarizer, 0.6ND grad. F22 at 30 sec's, Velvia.
