In Photoshop: converted image to black and white, added silver gelatin tone, created a pinhole camera effect, and placed it in a distressed edge. Original image photographed on a black background with an Alien Bee strobe through a 60" umbrella on camera left, and a Nikon SB-800 hot shoe flash with a 6" snoot behind the subject, also camera left.

Really like all the effects, Beth. Looks as though you really know your equipment. Michelle #5378753Beth Fishkind January 25, 2008
Thank you, Paul and Michelle! The original color image was taken as part of Vik Orenstein's Studio Portrait Lighting class. For the pinhole camera effect and distressed edge, I followed a magazine tutorial. For the toning, I used a free action from www.ePaperPress.com, which I've used before. I love working in the digital darkroom and have worked with Photoshop for a number of years now, so I know it pretty well. But I love to learn, so I'm always looking for new ways to push my photo skills! #5391674Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
