Key Bridge

Uploaded: January 17, 2008

Description

This bridge is in Washington, DC. The shot was F/16, ISO 100, 30s.

I'm constantly amazed at how a long exposure smooths water. I could just see a few lights reflected smoothly, but the rest of the river was covered in small ripples. It looked nowhere near as glassy as the shot turned out.

The brilliant stars were deliberate and come from the small aperture, not a star filter.

Exif: F Number: 16, Exposure Bias Value: -0.67, ExposureTime: 30/1 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 17.00 mm, Model: NIKON D200
