Thanks for the compliments. These are the lights on my Christmas tree. I set the camera to Tv and chose a 4 second exposure. After pushing the shutter release I moved the camera in a circular motion starting small and making larger circles until the camera was done taking the picture. You can try longer or shorter exposures. I've also put the camera on a tripod and zoom in or out while the shutter is open or put it on the tripod and make 90 degree angles or squares.
