This definitely has me scratching my head. Great colors and lighting on this but I'm still puzzling over the levitation; is there a piece of glass in the center of the table? #810740

Thank you all for the kind words - I'm humbled by all the complements!

As for the how - Jonathan, Howard, and Patricia all have it right - the table has a (very clean!) glass top. What can be seen in the shot is the stone base to the table underneath the glass. I burned in most of the bg that wasn't excluded by the lighting, but if you look closely (at a steep viewing angle), you still might be able to see the edge of the glass. There was a very bright halogen bulb directly above the table that was the only light source for the shot, which helped make the glass even more see-through. I left one hint of the "how" in the shot for anyone who wants to look closer - near the left edge, about an inch in, you can see one of the rubber "feet" the glass sits on. There's one on the right too, but it's harder to see.

Thanks again, everyone! #5226459
