Cesar, your feedback is very encouraging! Especially from someone whose images are as inspiring as yours! And I see we have the same slinky. How fun. We should have a slinky theme day!

Susie, John and LaRa, thank you all for your thoughtful comments!

Susie, I was amazed at how it started out with no curl at all. I thought I'd bought defective flowers! But then, it wondrously unfolded and curled. Can't wait to see your images! #5223907

Only one word for this: EXQUISITE! I don't think this is going to be a finalist, Teri. I think it's going to be a winner!! (And if not, the judges are out to lunch, lol) #5224776

Colleen, you are so sweet! You had me worried there for a second though, then I read the rest! Thank you for your kindness!

Teri, this is the most intimate image of a calla I've ever seen! Your composition caught the curving lines!
The lighting cast shadows in the folds of the petals giving the flower some mystery and the touch of color gives it a blush!
I vote for winner also! #5224981

Teri Soares December 18, 2007

Joannie, you are too kind! Thank you for your thoughtful comments. I bought the calla at the grocery store and it was so tightly closed that I just couldn't imagine how it would get all those graceful curves I'd seen in pictures and in flower arrangements. But, lo and behold...
