Description

The San Juan Scenic Byway is a loop that is especially vibrant in fall. This was taken along a section south of Telluride, Colorado. You see Mt. Wilson, 14,250 feet in elevation.

This is one of the most beautiful pictures I have seen. It is wonderful!!! May I ask how you meterd this? Good luck with this winning shot, it is stunning! #11859

Thank you so much for the encouraging words, Stephanie. I used center-weighted averaged metering, which tends to be the method that I most often use on my digital camera (the Sony F707). I sometimes bracket and try different settings (which I did in this case). Then I choose the one that appeals to me most. Thanks again. #19912

I have hundreds of frames stored from a trip to Colorado in August. It is so scenic there, with a photo op around every corner. I used a Minolta S404 and bracketed often. It does seem to help make sure a correct exposure is acheived. I also shot a lot with a Sony DSC-S75. Here is one I like. #19935
