The fallen petal was her idea. She decided to attack the flower and so it goes...

Beautiful lighting ans set up. I like that the flowers match the color of her eyes. Good detail also. #788360

Very good job putting the petal down and infront of the cat. Love the light/color of the eyes/flower matching.. :-)

This is the most beautiful 'kitty' pic I've seen in a long time, Teri! The lighting is absolutely exquisite! By the way, I live in Citrus Heights (Fair Oaks Blvd & Greenback Ln). #5083995

GORGEOUS Teri!! That tongue sticking out is just the cutest thing ever - I want to pick up Miss Curi and snuggle her!!! Love it! #5084295

Teri Soares November 16, 2007

Thanks Robin and Michelle!

Michelle, she is hilarious with that tongue. She is very snugglable (word? not) on her terms. She comes up and pets me first, then she allows me to pet her until she's had enough, then she's gone. Getting this shot was quite a challenge and my black velvet material will never be the same! #5084329

If this was in the cat theme, I would have had to pull my shot. Love this cat and flower portrait. :O)

Hi Doc,

I didn't take this until after the cat theme inspired me to try to do something better. I'm glad you liked my image and glad you didn't have to put your shot;)

Cute capture, Teri. I know how kitties like to attack flowers. Be careful, because lilies can be toxic if cats eat them. #5084668

This is so cute and I really like the yellow flowers and her yellow-gold eyes. #5084669

Teri Soares November 16, 2007

Thanks Jillian, Sam and Sherry.

Sam, thanks for the safety tip. I normally don't have plants (black thumb) but when I do, I don't let her play with them. She attacked the flower because the feather I was using to get her attention bumped one of the petals and she pounced.

Thank you, Ericka! She is the sweetest cat I have ever met. Despite her addiction to licking plastic bags and only wanting to eat creamy tomato soup, she is a pleasure to live with!

Too cute Teri!!! What is it with Persians and plastic bags? Mine do that too ~~ I also have a Shaded Silver who almost always has his tongue stiking out. Must be kindred spirits! #5186152

Cindy, that's good to hear! A cat show judge (Curi wasn't entered, we were just there to take pictures) told me the tongue thing was because we had her declawed. She said it thwarts their intellectual growth. OK... Well, after finding her with claws caught in curtains three different times, I thought it was better for her health. Guess I didn't know cats had mental issues.

I read somewhere that certain plastics have a chemical that acts like a (good) drug and that's why they lick.
