Thanks all for your comments and compliments- this was one of those happy accidents. I was on the beach with my kids taking picture of them surfing (or trying to!) and this little darlin' ran past. The composition was cropped just slightly to make her off center, the levels were adjusted a bit to counteract the lack of contrast in the overcast scene, and then I duplicated the layer, applied a diffuse glow effect and made the glow layer 60% transparent with blending options, then flattened the image. All done in PS7. I hope that's not too much information - - I have a tendancy to go on! But I appreciate all the hints & tips and everyday wisdom I get from this site - so just hoping to give a little back! :-) #717161Cathy Gregor August 17, 2004
