My Best Friend
Uploaded: October 26, 2007
This Photo was taken at my home in TX
My goal with this photo was to try and blend part of the subjects with the background.
I did touch up the photo a little I increased the gamma ever so little to help blend parts of the subject even more into the background, and blurred the image slightly to give it a soft look kind of angelic.
Using a white background, I defused the main flash and used strong background lighting on the left of the subject, slightly touching the left side of the shoulder amid more downward. A second light source was used pointing on top of the head just slightly to the right it was defused a little.
I know I could decrease the gamma to give it a little more tone and contrast...but I kind of like the effect I got. I named the photo My Best Friends.

Wonderful portrait; the soft black-and-white makes the dog look so soft; I just want to reach out and touch that fur! #5334247Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
