Washing Up For Supper

Uploaded: October 26, 2007

Description

This bee I saw at the zoo was moving slow because of the cold, so I was able to get nice and close to snap this picture (I was just making a quick trip with the boys so I only brought one lens). I didn't notice the position of its front legs until I went to upload it this morning -- looks like it's washing its "hands".
It was a cloudy day so the colors were bland and the photo didn't stick out much until I applied this high contrast b&w treatment.
