I simply couldn't resist these purple flowers against the mossy stone wall, particularly with that textured bench as a counterpoint. Photographed at the Chicago Botanic Gardens.

This is just super, John. There is something that unifies the entire image--can't put my finger on it for sure but it may be the texture throughout (in the bricks of the planter, the stone wall, the rough bench--and makes this just jump right off the screen at you. Composition is perfect and you have described it so well yourself. Very good luck with this one. #4962906

Hey Justin--

I used a circular polarizer--that really brought out a lot of the color and texture. Furthermore, the light was just perfect, giving me the richness that I really like in this photo. Finally, the moss really worked against that stone and complimented the purple of the flowers very nicely. I hope that helps! #5091782
