Wow! Outstanding shot, Pat! The light is fantastic as the detail and your presentation! #156542Allan L. Whitehead August 10, 2004
Marvelous close-up photoghraph and presentation, Pat, I love the colors, the liily pad refection, and the shadows on the water. Very well done, my dear friend - your good friend, Allan #697574Kristen McKain August 10, 2004

Dan, Allan and Kristen: thank you so much for you comments. I appreciate hearing them. I almost didn't even see this shot. I was looking for the small frogs that were on the lily pads, which is why I was using my extension tube. I took this for a class I'm taking at my local arboretum with a photographer for Chicagoland Gardening. Our final assignment is a photo layout of a garden including a cover shot. I'm submitting this shot as the "cover shot" for the assignment. #698068Carol Brill August 10, 2004
I love how you captured the light here, Pat, as well as the contrast with and texture in the water! A beautiful presentation and very deserving of a place of honor on a cover! #699149Patricia A. Cale August 10, 2004
Carol, thank you so much for your encouragement and support. I don't know if any of the classes photos are actually going to make it to the magazine, but you never know. I just decided to shoot as if it WAS going to be on the cover! I'll let you know what happens. I may just try submitting them on my own, too. #699184Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
