Awesome shot!!!! I love baseball photos! I do Az. Diamondback games and love it! #776267Aimee C. Eisaman March 11, 2008
Action shots like this amaze me.....no blur....just frozen in time! Great Job Debora! I love the DOF although I kinda wish that person in the background wasn't right under his rear. A bit distracting in my opinion. #5627846Leland N. Saunders March 11, 2008
Great shot Debora ... your subject is centered perfectly and the DOF is really great. I agree with Aimee about the other person in the photo ... you might try cloning him out. Another thought ... beyond your control ... but the pitcher's face is in shadow. You might be able to bring out his face more in PS ... sorry, I forget the name of the command ... the opposite of "burning." There is a photo on my BP Gallery of a statue I recently did where the face was in shadow and I was able to fix it satisfactorily. Great shot ... look forward to seeing more of your stuff.Lee #5628285

From the CC.....Debora I really am amazed by action shots as well. I love the position you caught him in. the action Lee is refering to is the dodge tool in photoshop. I also would love to see a bit more color I this. Maybe bump up the saturation just a tad! Wonderful shot though! #5629364Debora J. Mehlhaff March 12, 2008
Thank you, Aimee, Leland, and Danielle. I do appreciate your critiques and learn from them. I do know about cloning something out...good idea on that second baseman. Do not know how to use burning and dodging yet...but hope to improve on Photoshop skills...one of my goals. Yes, I love the baseball action shots because so much daylight can get the high shutter speeds to stop action. #5633331Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
