Sheltered and Fading

Description

Layered photo of an old house set off the road almost out of view. Its only company the trees sheletering it from the elements as it fades out slowly. I can imagine if homes had a soul it would be mourning the loss of children running on the porch and climbing the trees. Only memories now, I guess this old house made me miss my youth. I shot it in the tiny little town I was a small child in, its nearly a ghost town now, but the memories there are strong as ever = )

I love this Yvonne, and your little story as well, I am from a small town and when returning I think it is a shame that the homes there are mostly abandon, and slowly slipping away, I love the your thoughts of the house and trees missing the pitter patter of the running of innocence, I have always believed that material items can have a soul, maybe that is why I loved the movie christine so much. to me some homes look happy, and some homes look sad..very well done. Thank you so much for sharing you thoughts with me George = ) I do believe we leave impressions/imprints on places. Even if they exist only in our mind. The memories come through with clarity and emotions as if yesterday. I know they do for me, a sense of familar perhaps, or remebrance of times long ago. Lord Im in a mood, didnt mean to talk on so much = ) Thanks for your comments. I will try to keep responses a bit shorter lol. #4902738
