Gary, this image is just gorgeous! I wish I could take photos like this one. :-) #755314

Thank you so much Janet. It was taken some years ago on my first digital camera (non-SLR). I quite often drive past this castle (called Urquart Castle, on the shores of Loch Ness), and this particular morning was a cold winter's one, which created wonderful little mist patches just above the water, so I had to pull in an take a few photos.
I increased the colour saturation a little in Photoshop, but from my memory these are quite accurate to how they were on the day :)
PS - having seen your galleries, I very much admire your work too, and I am envious at your macro details - I can never master this !! :) #4890837

2 Months after I got my camera, I knew I had to have a lens for close ups. Macro is really my passion. But I love scenic views by others. And Scotland is a most beautiful place. It's a real treat for me to see it through your images :-) #4890875

Gary, I'm so glad you commented one of my photos, 'cause this led me to your oustanding gallerie. Scotland is truly beautifull. Love the colors and composition of your "Fallen Keeper"; also, your "Steady'.

Thank you very much for your kind words Jose. Sometimes I forget about the beauty that is in Scotland. When you live somewhere it is easy to 'switch off' from what is around you. I am glad to be able to show others some of the sites and scenery here :) #4900890

I like the way you captured the mood surrounding this scottish castle..I toured the castles many years ago and very much enjoyed driving all over Scotland : )
