I think the posts in the foreground are a little distracting...but overall great pic, nice color contrast. #152116

The post doesn't bother me at all, Isabel. In fact, I think it helps form a perspective line leading to the house. It also makes use of the foreground in a way I don't find distracting, but rather interesting. Excellent capture! That sky is magnificent! #673022

Very pretty colors & I really like the sparkle in the water. This is such a wonderfully calm photograph.

I too like the posts in the water. At first, there was something bothering me about them as well, but Dan made a good point and too agree with him.

So, I downloaded your photograph and found that your horizon is not level and the posts aren't straight up and down. Try rotating it a few degrees to the right :o)

Personally I 'Love' it, has a glorious
painterly feel.
A tad rotation to straighten the horizon and it's a winner. #673873

:) Thanks everyone for your great comments!! Ill try to straighten it up and enter it again later. #673974

Isabel,
This a perfect sailor's dream. The sky colors and the water are beautiful. If it were mine, I would crop it into a panoramic just a little below the building and leave 1/2 the sky. But as it sits, it is very well seen.

Well to me it could just be the fact that I am a sailboat model nut!
I love boats!
And I like to beacause it reminds me of home! #2455449

Isabel L February 22, 2006

:) Oooh ok but I guess then it's to bad that the sailboat kinda looks dull. I think I'm going to try to fix this one up. #2455452

Joshua R. Smith February 22, 2006
