Can you tell me how you took the shot - was the flower cut - did you pin it into position to hold it? What lighting did you use? Did you do any digital retouching?

Hi again Pete,

This shot was taken with my 100mm macro lens with the camera on a tripod in my back garden. I just went in as close as I could to where I could still focus right up to the edge of the petal and used a remote cable to trigger the shutter. It was taken `in situ` on a very calm day with overcast sky. With regard to retouching all I ever do is a little levels adjustment if required and slight sharpening as I shoot with no in camera adjustments re contrast, sharpening etc.

Yes, it's very helpful !!! I liked the depth of field that you got in the shot ! I am a firm believer in planning and getting the shot you want instead of "fixing" the shot on the computer afterwards !!!
